As COVID-related travel restrictions ease, and inflation reaches
record highs, Americans are eager to
get back to traveling during summer 2022. This has led to a huge increase in shoppers searching for
- and redeeming - coupons in the travel sector. AppGrooves, a coupon & discount service that caters
to mobile shoppers, has published a report on the most notable couponing trends in travel categories
including flights, hotels, and car rentals.
Highlights include:
A 280% increase in shoppers browsing travel-related coupons over the previous 3-month period.
From a brand perspective, the most successful coupon strategies (for conversion) offer about 20%
